A method or event for AOT objects to detect when the hosting AppEngine changes its redundancy role (Active/Standby)

In traditional redundant AppEngine setups, AOT objects could use the RuntimeSetScanState event to detect when an engine became active and then execute role-specific logic.

With Warm Redundancy, both AppEngines remain OnScan, so RuntimeSetScanState is never triggered during Active/Standby role changes. As a result, applications must periodically check the engine role, which adds unnecessary overhead.

A dedicated event to notify AOT objects when the hosting AppEngine changes role (Active ↔ Standby) would be very useful. It would allow role-dependent logic to run only when a role transition occurs, eliminating the need for cyclic polling and improving application performance.
