We created this site to hear your enhancement ideas, suggestions and feedback about AVEVA products and services. All of the feedback you share here is monitored and reviewed by the AVEVA product managers.

Enhanced Localization (Japanese)

InTouch related programs (App Manager, Window Maker, Window Viewer) contains UI issues related to Japanese language. Those include:

a) Single and double byte characters are mixed.

b) The font looks too old. It should be updated as "Yu Gothic UI", which is a standard font in the current release of Windows.

c) Mistranslations are sporadically seen

Font UI is much more important for Japanese customers than non-Japanese customers expect. If Japanese customers feel something unusual with font in software UI, they think the software is not developed for them and consider to start seeking other ones, maybe domestic ones.

    Thank you for providing this feedback.

    I request that mistranslations or other UI issues are treated as defects and reported through the Tech Support process. It will of course be more efficient if capturing and reporting multiple erroneous translations in one shot and not reporting them individually.
