We created this site to hear your enhancement ideas, suggestions and feedback about AVEVA products and services. All of the feedback you share here is monitored and reviewed by the AVEVA product managers.

Improve Permanent Delete Standards functionality.

The functionality of permanently deleting Standards was introduced as a part of ISM 2.2.1 release.

Once we click on the Permanently Delete Standard option present on all Obsolete Standards, an internal check runs to validate if that Standard is a part of any other Class Libraries Composition. If yes, a message is shown along with the list of dependent Class Libraries. Otherwise, the popup to Delete the Standard is shown.

This validation checks takes some time and currently there is no way to communicate the users that this check is running in background.

Acceptance Criteria

  • If the validation check takes considerable amount of time, the user should be intimated.

  • Another suggestion was to display the popup to permanently delete Standard before running the validation.
