We created this site to hear your enhancement ideas, suggestions and feedback about AVEVA products and services. All of the feedback you share here is monitored and reviewed by the AVEVA product managers.

Ability to access ISM Connect Class Libraries via API

As an Information Manager, I/we can Import Class Libraries into my solution without needing to export and import files, so that I can ensure reliability of defined standards and use of ISM as the Single Source of Truth

Description/Business NeedAs we progress [Project Visualisation] and Asset Visualisation as well push products such as Gateways to start interpreting the Class Library from ISM and the GEICL model behind it we need to ensure that ISM Connect is utilisable by these products/solutions easily and without having to parse GEICL xml or xlsx sheets.

Acceptance Criteria

  • API is accessible By AVEVA Products from ISM Connect

  • Only Class Libraries tagged for release are accessible by other products

  • Only class Libraries for which the user has access to in ISM is available for selection in this product (_this may mean we need the product to have a product User account - requires further Definition_)

  • All extensions and parent components are included in the Class Library when accessed by the other products
