Object List Selection/Search enhancements

This would apply to customers with very large quantities of meters/gq/etc and therefore make extensive use of object lists to keep their workflows straight.

Customer wants greater ability to filter and organize their object lists.

Problem Statement

Customer has a very large measurement system and they appear to make extensive use of object lists to improve their workflow. However, now the act of navigating through those object lists is now proving to be a challenge.

Expectation

  1. "Object List combo box Search Improvements" - Currently you can only type a single letter to search through the combo-box of object lists. When you type a second letter, it treats it like you are initiating a second search.

Without too much solutioning, it has been suggested that simply changing the combobox to a richcombobox would solve this issue. However, it would have to be done on every form that uses the object list selection box.

Initially, the change being made to the Gas Meter/Gas Quality Summary screens since they are used most frequently.

  1. "Object Lists should be AOR Aware" - Currently you can see any object list, regardless of whether it has objects that you have access to. Customer would like the ability to restrict object lists to AOR.

    This should possibly be done in a different way. Perhaps better groupings of lists (like more folders). A object list can span AORs so I don't think tying them to an AOR is the best approach.

    Another alternative would be an option to allow the user to hide object lists that don't have any objects in it (0 objects) or no objects applicable to them ( >0 objects but 0 in their AOR)
