We created this site to hear your enhancement ideas, suggestions and feedback about AVEVA products and services. All of the feedback you share here is monitored and reviewed by the AVEVA product managers.

Citect Scada Show/Hide Alarm Indicator Border

In Citect 2018 when configuring a genie or a group of objects you can select the "Alarm Indicator" tab from the genie or group configuration dialog and configure the genie or group or objects to use a set of alarm indicating symbols and border. An option exists to show or hide the alarm symbols but not to show or hide the border. Adding the option to hide/show the border would be extremely helpful. Making the frame color transparent does not work.

Idea business value

Some process graphics pages have a lot of content and depending on the configuration the alarm border can become redundant to the alarm icons. In these instances the border is distracting more than helpful as it has a tendency to overlap other important process data. Being able to hide the border like the option to hide the alarm flag would give an extra configuration advantage to the programmer using the situational awareness design philosophy.
