We created this site to hear your enhancement ideas, suggestions and feedback about AVEVA products and services. All of the feedback you share here is monitored and reviewed by the AVEVA product managers.

Add ability to lock guidelines in Graphics Builder (so they dont change when you accidentally click them)

The problem is: in the graphics builder the guidelines can be clicked or dragged using the mouse, and then they change!

Whilst dragging is quite a conscious action, clicking something is easily done accidentally.

You are not warned that you clicked and changed a guideline, so you won’t be aware until this shows up much later in the project.

We suggest a 'lock guidelines' opiton to disable clicking/dragging of the guidelines, so that they can only be changed from the options dialog.

We carefully define and agree on the position of guidelines between a project team, so that everyone lines up their pages equally and the result looks neat and tidy.

    Aveva Industrial Graphics introduced in Plant SCADA 2020R2 is the strategic direction for all Aveva Monitor and Control products. While the first release is intended for casual users, as it is read only. PS2023 will support Read/Write, while continuing to see investment in upcoming major releases to also support full Alarms & Trends within AIG. Citect Native Graphic's to AIG converter tools will be hosted in the Aveva Connect Development Studio (https://www.aveva.com/en/products/development-studio/), to ensure Aveva helps upgrade customers thru this journey to World Class SCADA/HMI Graphics leveraging the latest graphics rendering technologies.
