Life Science business as a new industry application in SE, we have proceeded several projects in China.
Our DCS based on M580 + Citect SCADA has been operating within a certain term, our clients start to complain our SCADA of ours has some issues which do not meet with FDA specification.
What the key issue is that the operator can go into the windows through some windows hot keys when our SCADA is under full screen runtime mode, which maybe cause some potential risks, like illegal accessing into Windows to change the process data, reports & delete some important files, and cause their product could not be passed by QA & could be passed by FDA inspection. So LS customers ask us to disable those hot-keys & prevent the control system from be attacked or destroyed.
We hope that R&D can develop a integrated tools in Citect SCADA & let application engineer configure a specific parameter either in computer wizard or in INI file to disable all system hot-keys.
Currently as what we know, the below hot-keys must be disabled, of course not limited them listed as below, customers need to disable all hot-keys prevent operator from going into the windows OS by them.
Windows symbol (Mircosoft keyboard key) + a certain character, like, OR
Some typical hot-keys, like Alt+Space, Alt+Esc, Alt+Tab, Ctrol+Esc, Ctrl+Alt+Tab, etc;
Other hot-keys, we do not search yet.
That is what we requirement, please help us to escalate to product manager in R&D & solve this issue in time.
