Edit Equipment types with a table tool like Excel

when it is needed to update a lot (not all) of variable and trend definitions for example Historian = true within an equipment type. Browsing to the item, opening the definition, add the field and set the value to true will take a lot of time. When it is possible to edit and save the type in a table tool. It will be easy to filter and update the equipmen type. And if it possible to have all equipment types in on table tool it will be fantastic.

@Nathan, At the risk of creating a zombie thread, I fear you may have misunderstood this request. The need is for a better interface in the equipment editor, which is for an XML file, rather than the tables which are created during generation. Navigating to each item in the GUI makes it very difficult to get a consistent outcome, editing the XML it treacherous.

This may be a longer term roadmap goal, however at the moment, we are enhancing the Microsoft EXCEL DBF Add on Tool to work natively for MS Excel 64 Bit. Simply use Excel, browse the to table needed to modify and use the power of excel for this functionality.
