We created this site to hear your enhancement ideas, suggestions and feedback about AVEVA products and services. All of the feedback you share here is monitored and reviewed by the AVEVA product managers.

    Update default naming method of objects when creating new instances

    Currently when creating a new instance of an object with child objects, the default naming system makes for a lot of extra work. When instantiating an object, allow the user to put in its name instead of naming it "Object_001" with child "Child001...

    Extending SQLGridCtrl to retrieve data from an Oracle Server

    The SQLGridCtrl component can only retrieve data from MSSql, I think that is a major shortcoming - I need to be able to retrieve data from Oracle in order to display it in a grid.

    Shift + Scroll to Horizontally Scroll in Graphic Editor

    Shift + Scroll is a common application hotkey combo to horizontally scroll. It would be valuable if this was added to the graphic editor as there is currently no way to horizontally scroll other than dragging the horizontal scroll bar.

    Need a replacement for PrintScreen() function that works in OMI

    OMI is missing a way to programmatically print to printer. Like the PrintScreen function in InTouch. Should be able to print the whole application or only part of it, i.e. a popup window.Ref: IMS#2206203

    deployment on offline client

    To have better use of implementing deployment in our system, i need to update clients that are not on and use in daytime. For instance a laptop can get a message that upgrade is possible and can initiate latest version.

    Support a canvas type layout

    Current layouts are organised in rigid panes which are useful in many circumstances, but there is a need to use a canvas layout with custom placement that allows a user to place graphics and apps whereever they want and to wire them together.
