We created this site to hear your enhancement ideas, suggestions and feedback about AVEVA products and services. All of the feedback you share here is monitored and reviewed by the AVEVA product managers.

Siemens PLCSim advanced Support for OI SI Direct driver

Currently the OI SI Direct driver does not support symbolic communication with Siemens PLCSim Advanced. Symbolic adressing is the way forward, legacy adressing is a security issue and not reccomended going forward. In adddition to that legacy adressing makes updating and changing software difficult as absolute adresses then typically will change. Siemens is the #1 manufacturer of PLCs worldwide and being able to communciate with their PLC simulator is crucial functionality.
