Make LogViewer File->Open default to folder of currently open log file

Big Picture User Experience

Make LogViewer File->Open default to folder of currently open log file

Detailed Description

Currently, when a user opens a log file, and then attempts to open another log file, the file->open dialog box always defaults to the user's desktop folder.

Instead, the File->Open dialog should default to the folder of the currently active log file, or the OAS_LOGDIR

Users who are looking through a larger number of different log files must today navigate back to the folder eery time they open a log file. This is irritating, and feels clunky.

Acceptance Criteria

SCENARIO 1

  1. Open Logviewer.

  2. File > Open -> select a log file

  3. View the log

  4. File > Open

  5. Observe that file path is set to the folder of the previously opened file.

SCENARIO 2

  1. Open NMC

  2. Double-click a log from [SystemName] > Computers > [MachineName] > Log

  3. View the log file

  4. File > Open

  5. Observe that file path is set to the folder of the previously opened file.
