Omnicomm retries on temporary connections should retry the connection

On Tech Support case 962469169 it became very clear that when the socket of a temporary connection was broken, Omnicomm would not re-attempt the connection until the next scheduled poll interval (e.g., 5 minutes later). I would expect that if Omnicomm is configured to perform three retries, this would include the entire process of polling the remote, including establishing and maintaining the TCP/IP connection. I think this is perhaps a defect, but since Omnicomm does not have this functionality today I will submit as an enhancement idea.

Retries on connection failure, including temporary connections.

Proper retries would help customers maintain consistent data in the face of intermittent field data transmission issues.
