Multi-system support for HMI

User Story

As a pipeline operator / supervisor monitoring pipeline assets that span multiple RealTime environments, I would like to be able to connect my HMI to the combined multi-RealTime environment, conferring all benefit of functionality concurrent with a single system connection, so that I can provide monitoring and control coverage to the larger pipeline operation.

Background

With the advent of multi-RealTime systems being deployed in the field to meet needs of larger customers , customers are now dividing their pipeline assets between different RealTime systems which are run load balanced between each other. By design, these systems do not fully replicate all data changes, and the OASyS HMI can only connect to one system at a time, with their Windows session limited to one instance of ezXOS. This means that a user connecting to any single system cannot gather the larger picture of all of these RealTime systems working together in unison. Comparatively, our customer on their previous SCADA system previously had the capability to launch multiple HMI sessions from a single OS session without any difficulty, meeting the need to be able to monitor / control multiple systems in concert. This need for coordinated control & monitoring can occur for example in a case where a pipeline in system A needs to be stopped/started in concert with a terminal in System B.

This feature will be considered for the next-generation HMI, and not for the existing ezXOS HMI.
