Expectation

The TOH limitation is removed, or a way is provided for protocols to upload and process historical data that crosses TOH/TOD boundaries.

For the collectxfer process, it would appear that the new HPDEF collect solution in ES2024 may actually make this worse. The expectation is that collectxfer performance doesn't impact the collect process, or perhaps some sort of rate limit in collect or some other way to handle these bursts of data. (It is assumed here that this is indeed bursty data, caused by aperiodic outages)
Idea business value

The product should be trusted to bring in a complete set of data from field devices. Currently, the product is unreliable in this area if a very large amount of historical data is brought back in a short amount of time.

    Please provide more information on the request. Which protocols are in question. Not all protocols have capability to send data with field time stamp. Some RTU/PLC has the ability to store locally history and protocol can upload the date directly into timesiries.
    In summary, problem #1 as described seems as a defective behavior. As some protocol support both method of data upload from field devices.s

    As for #2. Seems either prolonged outage but answer to #1 will provide more insight.
